Hollywood Hills amphitheater · June 20 to September 30, 2026 season
A natural amphitheater in the Hollywood Hills, since 1922.
The Hollywood Bowl has run a summer season in its namesake natural amphitheater since 1922, under a band shell whose concentric arches are as recognizable as the Hollywood sign. The Beatles played here in 1964 and 1965, later released as a live album, and the LA Philharmonic still opens every summer season on this stage. Nearly 18,000 fit in for a show, most with a picnic spread across their laps, a Hollywood Bowl tradition in its own right. It's one of Trailwind's Legendary Venues: log a show here in Passport, and On Tour flags it automatically if an artist you follow plays the Bowl.
Capacity: Nearly 18,000
Where it is visible: Los Angeles, USA
Parking is famously tight and can sell out in advance; the venue's own guidance is to take the Park & Ride or Bowl Shuttle instead, with Park & Ride sold until 10am the day before a show. Picnicking before the show is its own tradition, with picnic areas open as early as four hours before curtain. Summer evenings cool off fast after a warm day, and rain is essentially a non-issue: June through September averages just a tenth of an inch across the whole season.
