Namaqualand opens onto the protected Succulent Karoo, granite outcrops, immense skies and small communities shaped by a dry landscape. Springbok and Kamieskroon make practical bases for Skilpad and the national park's designated roads. The long N7 approach becomes part of a measured road journey rather than a hurried transfer.
Plan for 9-11 nights. Nine to eleven nights protect both long N7 movements, two real regional bases and flexible park days when bloom, weather or gravel-road conditions change.
