Mexico City opens the trip, led by the National Museum of Anthropology and its archaeology and ethnography collections. Valle de Bravo adds a historic lake town and an easy day outdoors before you head back to the capital. Piedra Herrada is a seasonal, optional visit, so go only when it's officially open, with an authorized guide and round-trip transport arranged.
