The lay of the landDallas is Texas at its most polished: glass towers downtown, a genuinely excellent art museum district, and barbecue joints worth a special trip. Deep Ellum carries the live-music and street-art scene, Bishop Arts District has the walkable-neighborhood feel the rest of the metro mostly lacks, and the Arts District downtown packs several major museums into a few blocks.
