Known for its striking geological features, including colorful rock formations and natural arches, the Eagletail Mountains Wilderness is a remote and pristine destination for outdoor enthusiasts seeking solitude and adventure in the Arizona desert landscape. At a height of over 2,800 feet, Courthouse Rock rises abruptly from the desert floor, near the northern boundary of the the wilderness. In 1990, it became part of the National Wilderness Preservation System established by the Wilderness Act of 1964.
