Pompeys Pillar National Monument and Visitor Center is a national monument in Montana, managed by the Bureau of Land Management.

Hours and Seasons For the 2026 season, we will open on 01 May 2026 and close on 01 October 2026 (so, our last day of operation for the 2026 season will be 30 September 2026). Monument gates are open 8:00 am - 4:00 pm daily, except Tuesdays when the Monument is closed for maintenance. Monument gates open each day at 8:00 am, and the vehicle entrance gate closes at 3:30 pm, while the vehicle exit gate and the Interpretive Center close at 4:00pm.
